FRIENDS & COOPERATING PARTNERS

We are happy to directly answer any and all questions you may have about homeschooling. We also encourage you to checkout other helpful resources we endorse, including these, which are run by our friends and cooperating partners, and others that are officially affiliated with The Loft.

LOCAL HOMESCHOOL GROUPS

Northeast Wisconsin is blessed to have quite a few local homeschool support groups, all listed on The N.E.W. Scoop. The two largest/most active are Green Bay Area Christian Homeschoolers (GBACH) and Green Bay Homeschooling Families (GBHSF)

NOTE: Since GBHSF doesn't have its own website, please contact its admin, Carrie if you would like to join but are not on Facebook.

Consider, of course, joining any/all of the groups that resonate with your preferences.

NORTHEAST WISCONSIN CHRISTIAN HOMESCHOOL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (NEWCHAA)

Northeast Wisconsin is blessed with many community-based sports programs of all different types, particularly for children and tweens/young teens. And our state homeschool law does allow homeschoolers - with acceptance of additional regulation (as described HERE under OTHER: Public School Sports Participation) - to play on public-school sports teams. But there's nothing like a homeschool sports association for homeschooling athletes...and Northeast Wisconsin has that too, in the form of NEWCHAA

HOMESCHOOL-SPECIFIC MUSIC & THEATER

This area is also home to many community-based music and theater programs open to homeschooling children and teens. Beyond that, though, we also have access to some vibrant homeschool-specific programs, including Hosanna Choir (based in Green Bay), His Majesty's Theater (Green Bay), and Valley Troubadours (Appleton). Valley Troubadours offers full-scale vocal and instrumental music programs (i.e., multiple choirs and bands, individual instruction) as well as opportunities to participate in musical and non-musical theater.

HOMESCHOOL-FRIENDLY PHYSICIANS

While there may very well be other homeschool-friendly medical professionals in the greater Green Bay area, we know of a few in particular who will fully respect your parental rights on both medical and educational matters:

SERVE NETWORK GREEN BAY CHRISTIAN EDUCATORS ASSOCIATION

SERVE Network Green Bay launched a Christian Educators Association in January 2024, the purpose of which is to encourage and enable cooperation among providers of Christian education throughout Northeast Wisconsin. Though we at The Homeschool Loft realize that not all homeschoolers are Christian - and we respect personal freedom in that regard, purposing to meet the needs of all private home-educators - we also serve as a charter member of the CEA in order to provide a voice at the table for those homeschooling from a Christian perspective.
