The Learning House

Jenny Tetzner, one of the founders of The Homeschool Loft, left in March 2023, to pursue with her husband the launch of a new endeavor, The Learning Housea Charlotte Mason-inspired business that will open in September 2023. The Learning House will offer a co-op-like experience for children Ages 7-12 and their parents. Children and parents together will gather one day a week for instruction led by Jenny and then follow up with relevant activities at home for the rest of the week. Similar in some ways to the Classical Conversations model, those enrolled in The Learning House will still be legally designated as homeschoolers (and will be required to file annual PI-1206 forms) but will use The Learning House program as the basis for their home-based educational endeavors.

The Learning House will also take over administration of and provide rebranding for the Lofty Readers book club and some Lofty Families events (i.e., family book clubs, book-based movie events) previously sponsored by The Homeschool Loft, as well as the Homeschool Mom Hiatus initially offered by The Loft, and similar events. All activities will match The Learning House’s mission of offering “opportunities intended for the whole family to learn and grow together” and “creating a space that brings joy to learners and inspires home educators.”

The Learning House is in the process of creating a website. In the meantime, please email Jenny with questions.
